Some state results

Florida is extremely close, based on the tally at the webpage of the Florida Secretary of state. With over six million votes counted, they are virtually tied, with Romney at 3,185,000 votes, and Obama at 3,183,000.

More coming …

North Carolina is very close.

Frustratingly, the Ohio Secretary of State has no page on the presidential vote tally.

9:12 p.m.: I’ve heard that Fox News has called Pennsylvania for Obama.

9:18 p.m.: In Florida, there are 4,000 votes between the candidates with almost seven million votes cast.

I’ve given up on my resolution not to watch TV at all. I am checking on Fox occasionally.

9:29: The NYT map shows that MIchigan has gone for Obama.

Virginia with about half the vote counter has Romney a few points ahead. Ohio has Obama about six points ahead. According to Fox, the Romney camp is counting on votes from the southern part of the state making up the difference.

That’s enough for now.
