Christian News Service touts the precipitous plunge of Obama approval rate to … 46 percent!

On October 13 I wrote:

The latest Gallup three-day tracking poll says President Obama’s approval rating is 48 percent. Do you see that news being reported on the conservative Web? Nope. But as soon as his approval rating oscillates downward (for the nth time) to 43 percent, you’ll see stories about it popping up like mushrooms at Lucianne, Hot Air, and elsewhere, declaring that Obama’s in a precipitous fall, that he’s doomed, that he has plunged into stygian realms of darkness where he’s never been before, that Michelle is shopping for a house in Hawaii.

On Saturday evening, October 27, I saw this at CNS News, by Terence Jeffrey:

(CNSNews.com)—In the most precipitous decline it has seen in more than a year, President Barack Obama’s job approval rating has dropped 7 points in three days, according to Gallup.

In the three-day period ending on Oct. 23, says Gallup, 53 percent said they approved of the job Obama was doing and 42 percent said they did not.

On Oct. 24, that dropped to 51 percent who said they approved and 44 percent who said they do not.

On Oct. 25, it dropped again to 48 percent who said they approved and 47 percent who said they do not.

On Oct. 26, it dropped yet again to 46 percent who said they approved and 49 percent who said they did not.

In May 2011, Obama’s approval dropped 7 points in four days, sliding from 53 percent on May 24 to 46 percent on May 28.

Jeffrey surpassed my prediction. He trumpeted a “precipitous” Obama fall when Obama’s approval had gone down to 46 percent. Usually Obama’s approval rate has to go to 43 percent before Republicans start talking about his precipitous fall.
