America and the British riots

It’s the greatest civil disorder in Britain in historical memory, and the U.S. media are treating it, as best, as one story among many others. And what about the conservative Web? Well, at National Review Online, among scores of items on its main page, there are just two relating to the riots in Britain, and both of them are mere links to stories in the British media; NRO itself has nothing on this event. But why complain? Their name is National Review, not International Review, right? American media don’t seem to care about anything happening beyond our borders, unless it concerns the Mideast or Muslim countries where our troops are stationed. Thankfully, the Drudge Report is on the job and treating it seriously. The Huffington Post is also highlighting it with huge headlines.
