How venereal disease contracted from a later husband destroyed Breivik’s mother; and how Breivik’s father abandoned him

The passage from his manifesto is quoted at The Thinking Housewife.

Also at TTH, more information on the total estrangement of Breivik’s father, who has not spoken to him for the last 16 years, since he was 16 years old. Jens Breivik’s main concern in the wake of the Norway event is that “I will have to live with the shame for the rest of my life. People will always link me with him.” Isn’t it odd that he would say this, given his total abandonment of and total lack of any connection with his son through his entire life? When it comes to his fear that he will be associated with his son and made guilty for his sons acts, hasn’t he already covered those bases as well as they can be covered?

Unless Jens is thinking that the reason his son turned bad, and the reason Jens will have to bear shame for the rest of his life, is that he, Jens, abandoned him?
