Ominous parallels busting out all over

Item: From the moment the Strauss-Kahn incident took place on May 14, the Manhattan D.A.’s office snowed us with the message that the accuser was a paragon of Muslim piety and hard work. She has turned out to be a grifter and career liar, perhaps the biggest liar in the history of high-profile criminal complaints. Six weeks after the prosecutors told us in the most convincing manner possible that Nafissatou Diallo’s story was rock solid, the same prosecutors to their infinite chagrin informed us that not a word that came out of the woman’s mouth could be believed. How could the prosecutors (and, through the prosecutors, we ourselves) been so fooled? It was because the maid was black, Third-World, (supposedly) poor, and the victim of a prominent white man. Therefore the prosecutors chose to believe her, pushing aside all doubts and doubters to the contrary, and to ignore, for weeks, the evidence that she was a liar, until her lies became so egregious that they simply had no choice but to go public about them. Also, in the midst of the exposure of the erstwhile perfectly virtuous accuser, a senior prosecutor said, “I can’t say with 100 percent certainty that it’s not true” that the maid had been working as a prostitute both before and after the DSK incident.

Item: Week after week, in cities throughout the country, spontaneously organized groups of black youths, known as “flash mobs,” are committing unprovoked violent mayhem, largely against young whites who are selected as victims because they are white, and whom the attackers laugh at and mock while they are assaulting them. Yet this horrifying campaign of racial violence and intimidation has yet to be identified as such by the national media or by any political official. Both the racial component in each individual incident, and the racial pattern in these events a whole, are covered up and denied through a multitude of euphemisms and rhetorical obfuscations, or, more commonly, are simply ignored.

Item: As we learned today, for the last ten years the largely black (and black-run) public schools of Atlanta engaged in systemic, deliberate cheating and fraud on an unprecedented scale—fraud enforced by intimidation and threats to silence possible truth-tellers—to make black pupils’ test scores seem better than they were. The Christian Science Monitor has described it as “the largest of dozens of major cheating scandals, unearthed across the country.”

What is the common element uniting these three stories? The massive cover-up of black dysfunction/criminality/violence, in order to maintain a positive image of blacks.

And what about the mainstream conservatives—why don’t they at least notice and bring out what is happening, particularly when it comes to the black racial violence? For the same reason that these multitudinous cover-ups have existed in the first place: the more negative the truth about blacks, the more racist and career-damaging it is to speak the truth. Smart people with successful careers stay away from it, close down their brains, keep their mouths shut—or, if they do open their mouths, open them to speak lies.

Here’s another parallel. Both the Atlanta schools story and the DSK case began not just with a cover-up of the black subject but with a huge overestimation of the black subject that later turned out to be not just false but fraudulent or inspired by fraud. The black pupils in the Atlanta schools were shown by tests as having achieved extraordinary academic progress; the test results turned out to have been forged. The Sofitel maid was portrayed by over-certain prosecutors as a saint whose every word could be believed; she turned out to be a grifter and liar, a fact which they themselves should have known early in the process but which they deliberately ignored.

There are other examples of such wild overpraise of blacks which is then deflated; think of the way our current president used to be described by his admirers.

Thucydides writes:

Some years ago, Leszek Kolakowski, the famed historian of Marxism, in an essay entitled The Self-Poisoning of the Open Society, pointed out the tendency of modern liberalism to push its principles to such extremes that they turned into their opposites. The principle that lies behind the denial of group difference, such as we are seeing with the liberal response to burgeoning evidence of black dysfunctionality, a response that can only be characterized as pathologically detached from reality, is the principle of human universality and absolute moral equality. The idea that all men are the same in all times and places, and that particular identities are no more than superficial, and not constitutive, is a core liberal commitment that must be maintained in the face of all evidence. Other elements in the liberal faith, such as meliorism, or the notion that we can collectively manage our affairs to produce continual moral and political progress, crucially depend on the idea that there are no deeply ingrained intractable differences in humans or in human groups.

It is not only a matter of ideological belief, but the racial entitlements industry is based upon it. For example, all the black officials involved in the massive Atlanta cheating scandal are highly compensated for their administrative roles which evidently mostly involve maintaining the fiction of black educational performance. One can only imagine what would be the economic circumstances in life of people of this character absent their roles our present system of racial entitlement.

This system is in effect a formula for discriminatory treatment by the government in favor of some, and to the disadvantage of others. It is probably an inevitable accompaniment of our form of government, where politicians benefit by brokering valuable special benefits to specific interest groups, while spreading the costs over the larger community. However, when pushed to extremes as it has been in the area of race, this becomes a formula for civil strife, or a kind of low intensity intifada.

These practices are also highly harmful to the ostensible beneficiaries. If blacks could be viewed realistically, educational programs could be designed to afford those who have only modest cognitive capacity with the best possible education of which they are capable, which would be no mean accomplishment.

Why do I focus so relentlessly on these endlessly repeated stories of the massive cover-up, followed by the massive exposure, of black criminality and black failure—which is, we should point out, failure by white standards? Beyond its immediate interest and obvious importance, the truthful communication about black dysfunction and violence also serves the larger purpose of this website, which is nothing less than to save the American nation.

In my view, the greatest single factor driving whites to national suicide is their false guilt over black inferiority. Because whites believe—as modern liberalism has taught them to believe—that all groups have equal inherent abilities, they also believe that the actual inferiority of blacks in every area of accomplishment and behavior must be caused by something bad that the whites are invidiously doing to blacks, or by something good that whites are selfishly refusing to do for blacks. However expressed, it all comes down to the idea that black failure is caused by white racism—the transcendent sin of the modern world. And because black inferiority continues, and is even getting worse, the conclusion is that white racism is continuing, and is even getting worse.

The final result of this woefully mistaken thought process is the paralyzing racial guilt which makes whites feel that they have no right to defend and preserve their civilization, no right to defend and preserve themselves, but that they must instead self-sacrificially open themselves to and empower, not only blacks, but all nonwhites. This self-sacrifice takes numerous forms, including denial of the truth of black anti-white violence, denial of the tyrannical and murderous reality of Islam, and unquestioning acceptance of the mass Third-World immigration that is steadily turning America into a non-European country in which whites and their civilization will be steadily weakened, dispossessed, and destroyed. Therefore, as I began saying in the mid 1990s, if whites could see the truth that blacks’ lesser civilizational abilities are not whites’ fault but are inherent in blacks themselves, it could literally save the country, by freeing whites from their suicidal guilt.
