British couple released by Somali pirates

Van Wijk writes:

Earlier this week I happened upon the story that Paul and Rachel Chandler, the British couple who were taken hostage by Somali pirates in October of 2009, have been released. The media doesn’t seem at all interested in this story. I get the feeling that had I not been reading another article on the same website and seen the link, I would have missed it entirely.

The Chandlers spent 388 days in captivity. I remember seeing this YouTube video a year ago and thinking it very likely that the couple would be killed. They are very lucky to be alive.
