John Lennon’s “Imagine,” in a literal translation

Kathlene M. writes:

Since your readers often send their creative contributions to your website, I thought I’d send mine. I’ve been inspired by recent events to rewrite the liberal utopian song “Imagine” by John Lennon. It may be over the top but so are recent events.

Imagine no America
It’s easy if you try
White devils become dust
Gray ash flowing to the sky
Imagine all conservatives
Cowering in fear

You may say I’m a leftist
But I’m not the only one
We will force you to join us
And we’ll have equal misery as one

Imagine no Western nations
It isn’t hard to do
“Allahu Akbar!”
To the Christians and the Jews
Imagine all the people
Living for shariiiiii…..aaaaaa

You may say I’m a true believer
But I’m not the only one
We will force you to worship
And our will shall be done

Imagine there’s no capital
I wonder if you can
A socialist utopia
Brotherhood of superman
Imagine all the people
Freedoms gone piece by piece

You may say I’m a radical
But I’m not the only one
We will force your compliance
Then you will bow down to The One.
