The only hope for the West?

As we can see in the clueless, kneejerk liberal response of the British to the London bombings, and in the clueless, kneejerk liberal response of the French and the West in general to the Muslim riots in France, the liberalism of the West is far more than a mere opinion that modern Westerners hold, from which they could presumably be dissuaded by argument and evidence. Rather, liberalism is the very formation of modern Westerners, the substance of their being. Just as I’ve said of the French, “L’apaisement, c’est nous,” appeasement is us, so we could say of modern Westerners as a whole, that they are their liberalism. For this reason it has seemed to me that Westerners will not be able to give up their liberalism until the West itself has been, to some degree, destroyed. The only question in my mind has been how much of the West would have to be destroyed before it abandons its liberalism.

But perhaps there is a shorter and less horrific path to such a turnabout. Not the outright ruin of our civilization in its political, moral, spiritual, and racial dimensions, but simply an economic depression that would remove the buffers that have shielded Westerners from reality, and grind the present process of civilizational suicide to a halt. These thoughts were triggered by a reader who writes:

I feel that the only hope for the West is a complete, global economic collapse.

Most Americans and Westerners are so consumed with their wealth and material distraction they will not commit their minds and hearts to opposing the forces that seek to destroy them. When whites don’t have a job and see the social effects of mass immigration on their wallet they will react. When the veil of materialism is lifted from their eyes (when the bank takes their boats and other toys), they will react to the program of multiculturalism imposed on them.

These are issues most Americans are very aware of but somehow repress their reactions. I have friends who seem to understand but will brush off the issues with statements like “I just want to live my life.” What that really means is “I’m having alot of fun and success right now and don’t want to spoil it by worrying over these problems.”

Greed and multiculturalism are the combined forces, the Frankenstein’s monster that infects our politicians and influences their ongoing pursuit of “diversity lottery visas” and inaction in the face of mass illegal immigration. Take out the heart (greed) and the whole monster dies.
