We’re here, we’re Muslim, get used to it

As I was returning to New York City last evening after a three day visit in Charles Town, West Virginia, on a high rock overlooking the highway approaching the Lincoln Tunnel was a big, colorful sign that said, “Ramadan,” with Arabic script below it. The Muslims, whom we have freely allowed into our country, are now announcing their presence everywhere. And Ramadan, Steven Stalinsky informs us in today’s New York Sun, is not merely, as is widely thought, a month of fasting and spirituality, it is the month when Muhammad won the battle of Badr in 624, the month he conquered Mecca in 630, the month when Muslim clerics the world over call on their followers to wage jihad.
