The Christian right gives a pass to Mrs. Bush

Here’s another anti-South Park Conservative, Chuck Baldwin. He’s frankly disgusted at Mrs. Bush’s profane performance at the National Press Club last month, and at other endorsements by her of cultural sleaze, including her participation in a standing ovation at the Kennedy Center for a play about a transvestite. He also makes the connection (which not enough conservatives have made) between Mrs. Bush’s social and cultural liberalism and her indulgence of Humpy and Sleazy, also known as the presidential daughters. However, Baldwin’s main ire is directed at the Christian conservatives. In making themselves into adjuncts of the Republican party, these Christian activists have sold out their moral principles, as shown by the fact that they have remained silent about Mrs. Bush’s atrocious behavior, which, had it come from Teresa Heinz Kerry, they would have roundly denounced. (For previous items by me about Mrs. Bush’s cultural liberalism, see this and this and this and this.)
