The world’s greatest city, in the midst of the storm

This photo was taken from the 51st floor of the New York Times building at Eighth Avenue and West 40th Street. The view is toward the east (or what in Manhattan is called the east), with the full moon (looking unrealistically small) rising in the east, and the Empire State Building, at 34th Street and Fifth Avenue, seen at the right.
