Are Canada and the U.S. trading identities?

Meanwhile our historically wimpy northern neighbor, the country where in order to be a politician or public figure you are required by law to be afraid of your own shadow, seems, under the leadership of Stephen Harper, to have become tougher than the U.S. The Canadian government has just severed diplomatic relations with Iran.

Since we’re switching places with the Canadians, this means that we can completely de-fund our military now to help defray the cost of Obamacare, while we incessantly bash our northern neighbors for their lack of humanitarianism, backwardness, isolationism, homophobia, Islamophobia, etc., and all under the safety of their protection.
