The Sounds of (Neocon) Silence

Over the weekend, Mohammed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood dismissed the generals who had been governing the country and became, as Barry Rubin put it (see previous entry), the democratically elected dictator of Egypt.

And how has Commentary, a leading center of the Democracy Project, reacted to this disastrous event brought about by the “democracy” they championed? With silence. At Commentary’s blog, there is not a single item about Mursi’s seizure of power. As the neocons walk down the street, houses collapse in ruins behind them, and they never acknowledge this but just go on to the next street.

See the old cartoon of “Nate the Neocon,” which perfectly illustrates the neocons’ modus operandi.
