A new word for what the mainstream news industry does with all the news that doesn’t fit the liberal view of reality

Paul K. posted this yesterday in the entry, “Notes from the Chicago Intifada.” I thank him for noticing, and providing a proper definition for, the coinage.

Coverupage (kuhv-er-up-ij) n. In journalism, the deliberate omission of vital elements of a story in order to make it politically correct. An ironic variant on “coverage.” First usage: VFR, 13 June 2012.
