For Scott Walker

I just sent a donation to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker to help him defeat the recall bid. The election is on Tuesday. That there would be an attempted recall of a governor for doing the very things he pledged to do if elected shows how power-mad the left is in this country. As in Europe, the left in America doesn’t accept the results of elections, if they don’t go their way. The public employees unions have had a death-grip on Wisconsin and other states (see VFR articles on this here, here, and here). Walker and his Republican allies in the Wisconsin legislature have been courageous and admirable in their successful fight to reduce or remove the unions’ power. It would be terrible if their important achievement was undone by this underhanded recall election.

People are voting with their wallets.

From Fox News:

Wisconsin unions see ranks drop ahead of recall vote

… Wisconsin membership in the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees-the state’s second-largest public-sector union after the National Education Association, which represents teachers-fell to 28,745 in February from 62,818 in March 2011, according to a person who has viewed Afscme’s figures. A spokesman for Afscme declined to comment.
