The meaning of hoodies

A reader sends this:

Congressman wears hoodie on House floor to honor Trayvon Martin

and asks:

Where, and WHEN, will it end?

LA replies:

Why should we be concerned about this particular phenomenon ending? Blacks, as I have said going back to the time of blacks’ mass outburst of joy over the O.J. Simpson acquittal, are largely a criminal or criminal-sympathizing population. When a black Congressman and other black political leaders wear hoodies to express their solidarity with black thugs, they are expressing the essence of their blackness. Let them keep doing it, and maybe a few more whites will finally get it.
