Romney on homosexual rights

CNS News has an informative article on Romney’s stated positions on homosexual issues. Basically he supports the entire homosexualist agenda, except for marriage:

[H]e opposes “gay marriage” but supports same-sex “domestic partnerships,” adoption of children by gay couples, homosexuals serving openly in the military, and does not think states should prohibit sodomy.

Romney also says he favors an amendment to the Constitution that would define marriage as being between one man and one woman but does not think there is enough support for it nationally.

Romney makes a distinction between domestic partnerships, which he supports, and civil unions, which he opposes, because, as he said in a 2002 interview, civil unions are for all intents and purposes the same as marriages.

The article was posted a few minutes ago at Lucianne.com. Undoubtedly many L-dotters will manically denounce Romney as a liberal or as a seller-out of conservative principles. Where were these conservative champions in December 2010, when most of the conservative movement lay down dead and either weakly supported or weakly declined to oppose the homosexualization of the military, which 17 years previously they had fought against with all their might?
