Six months later, Japan’s ongoing recovery from the tidal wave (tsunami)

The Daily Mail has a series of awe-inspiring, and simply inspiring, photographs of numerous locations in northeastern Japan taken last March, then in June, then today, showing the awful devastation following the tidal wave, then partial recovery three months later, and something approaching normality—or at least relative order in preparation for rebuilding—today.

But some major remnants of the tidal wave have not been removed, such as a cargo ship washed into the city of Kesennuma that remains stranded in the cleaned-up area around it:
