The Pakistani Sufi-like belief system which isn’t what we think of as Sufi-like

In an exchange, a reader explains how the New York Times’s statement that “more than 75 percent of Pakistan’s population adheres to the Barelvi school of thought, which follows many Sufi practices” is both true and deeply misleading.
