Greek Orthodox bishop blames Greece’s problems on the Jews
Daniel S. writes:
You recently posted about the anti-Semitic rants of Gregory III Laham, the Melkite Catholic bishop of Antioch, in which he blamed the Jews for Islamic aggression against Christians in the Muslim world as part of a conspiracy against Islam. Not to be outdone, one of the leading Greek Orthodox bishops, Metropolite Seraphim of Piraeus has claimed that Jews are behind Greece’s economic problems, that Jewish bankers were behind Hitler and the Holocaust, and that Jews are plotting to destroy Orthodox Christianity. Unlike Bishop Gregory III, the Greek bishop does not have the excuse of living under Muslim rule to explain his anti-Semitic rantings. Muslim immigrants are overrunning Europe, including Greece, and the bishop ignores this to traffic in long discredited conspiracy theories, paving the way for dhimmitude. It is Muslims destroying the remnants of Orthodox Christianity in Turkey, Iraq, Gaza, and Egypt, but this dhimmi bishop would rather target the Jews.
