Julian Assange has been arrested in London

The British arrested him on the Swedish rape charge. But the story, from the Telegraph, is odd. It says that Assange showed up at a London police headquarters “by appointment” to discuss the rape charge, and then was arrested. Why would he do that? He had to know that the moment he showed his face anywhere he would be arrested.

Julian Assange reminds me of one of the few people I like even less—Bill Maher

They both project malevolence.

And I would add Christopher Hitchens to that category.

Joseph C. replies:

The aesthetic similarities are chilling.
