Obama’s denial-what does it mean?

Many observers including mainstream media types are somewhat amazed at Obama’s repeated denial in his press conference yesterday that the elections were a rejection of his program, particularly Obamacare. According to Obama, the voters are simply unhappy with unemployment and the slow rate of economic improvement. Further, it’s not just Obama, it’s lots of Democrats and even moderate liberal media types like Mara Liaison (sp?) and Juan Williams who are saying that the crushing Democratic defeat was only an expression of worry about jobs, not a rejection of Obama’s vast expansion of the federal government.

Yet, while people are fascinated by the liberals’ staunch denial of undeniable reality, no one has yet pointed out what it means, and what practical lesson is to be learned from it.

I will have more to say about this, including the lesson, by the mid to late afternoon.
