Good movie at 9:30 tonight on Turner Classic Movies

Spencer Warren, a movie critic, writes:

That Hamilton Woman, starring Laurence Olivier as Admiral Nelson and Vivien Leigh (then Mrs. Olivier) as Emma, Lady Hamilton. Their romance is set against the background of Nelson’s campaigns against Napoleon.

Very well done Battle of Trafalgar with historical details that brought Winston Churchill to tears. I love when you see the British fleet sailing to attack, the soundtrack is playing the sailors singing “Heart of Oak” the official song of the Royal Navy. (I love the lyric near end: “We’ll drub ‘em on shore as we drub ‘em at sea.”)

Churchill watched it 11 times during the war.

And memorable romantic musical score by Miklos Rosza. (whom I once met in London).
