What is the basis for saying that breast implants are bad?

Doug B., the Randian commenter who told me that I am an anti-human oppressor for criticizing breast implants, also said: “[The fact that] cosmetic surgery can be used for neurotic or superficial ends does not change its essential nature as a method of self-improvement.” But on what basis does he determine that some uses of cosmetic surgery are bad and undesirable—which, after all, is what I was saying too? I explore the point in a comment.
