Dutch government falls, giving Wilders his chance

The Dutch coalition government has collapsed, as a result of irreconcilable differences among the parties forming the coalition on the continuation of the Netherlands’ 1,600 man military mission in Afghanistan. Elections for a new parliament must be held by May. If recent polls hold up, Geert Wilders’s five-year old Freedom Party would win the most seats—an event that will doubtless force those same feuding coalition partners back into a coalition so as to prevent Wilders from becoming prime minister
