York asks, “Why are the Democrats doing this?”, cont.

Earlier in the week, Byron York at the Washington Examiner asked a Democratic strategist why the Democratic leaders are pushing a bill that most of the country is against. York now reports on more far reaching answers to that question that he has received from his readers. The answers are similar to statements that have been made at this site many times: the Dems think that by driving this Frankenstein’s Monster through, they will win in the long run, even if in the short run they lose lots of seats and even the Congress itself. Which comes down to this:

It doesn’t matter how bad the bill is, how much it will hurt the country, and how much anguish it will cause. The Democrats are set on passing it, no matter what.
