Third Knoxville trial over

David B. writes:

George Thomas was sentenced today to life without parole in the third Knoxville Atrocity trial. This was likely the best sentence that could be expected. The statements by two other suspects that Thomas killed Christopher Newsom could not be heard by the jury because they could not be cross-examined. [LA asks: why couldn’t they be cross examined?] The trial of the fourth suspect, Vanessa Coleman, is scheduled for May 10, 2010.
