Another white Eloi falls into the maw

Robert writes:

A young white man, Benjamin Merrill, from a small, mostly white town in Washington State, was murdered on November 2nd in San Francisco by three young black women. Two women started talking with him on the street. He apparently got in their car and went to a house to pick up a third woman. They then drove to a park where they robbed and shot him dead. Since this young man’s home town, Belfair, is near where I live, I can tell you that the thought of three women preying upon a man is likely outside the realm of anything he could have conceived of. There are essentially no blacks in Belfair, so I don’t know what he might have thought about black women. The three women charged are: Kiarra Price, Teareney Brown and Kendra Fells.

Another story.

Picture of Teareney Brown included in this article:

I found a picture of one of the other women (Kiarra Price, I believe), who was also black, but I can no longer find the story containing that picture. I never found a picture of the third (Kendra Fells), so it is possible that she is white. You can try, try in vain to find an article that includes pictures of the victim and any of the alleged killers in the same article.

Charges Filed Against Three California Women in Death of Belfair Native
By Brynn Grimley, Kistap Sun, Nov. 25

Pittsburg, Calif.—

Formal charges have been filed against three California women believed to be responsible for the shooting death of former Belfair resident Benjamin Merrill, according to police in Pittsburg, Calif.

Two 20-year-olds, Kiarra Price and Teareney Brown, along with 21-year-old Kendra Fells were charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and robbery by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

Police arrested Price, a Pittsburg resident, last week and Brown, of Richmond, Calif., on Monday. An arrest warrant has been issued for Fells, also a Pittsburg resident, who is not yet in custody.

Police believe Price and Brown approached Merrill on a street in San Francisco’s Mission District around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 3, asking for directions. They started talking and the three got into the women’s car, possibly to go for drinks, said Lt. Brian Addington with Pittsburg Police.

He said investigators believe Merrill willingly got into the car with the women.

They eventually went to Fells’ Pittsburg home, which is roughly a half-mile from the park where Merrill was killed. Around 3 a.m. Merrill and the three women went to the park, where Merrill was robbed of his cell phone and wallet.

Police believe Price shot Merrill, Addington said.

Merrill did not know the women before Nov. 3 and speculation that he had been on a date with one of them before the shooting is wrong, Addington said.

“This was really a happenstance encounter,” he said.

Price and Brown remain in jail. Each is being held on more than $1 million bail.

LA replies:

A “happenstance encounter.” Yes, in the sense that when prey falls into the hands of predators and they kill him, that’s happenstance. In reality, prey being prey, and predators being predators, such incidents are not happenstance but normal and predictable. But liberals cannot see this, because they see people only as individuals, not as members of larger categories such as “predator” and “prey,” or, more particularly, “black predator” and “white prey.” So each new instance of a black killing a white is happenstance.

One Pittsburg woman arrested in connection with homicide, another sought
By Roman Gokhman
Contra Costa Times Posted: 11/20/2009

PITTSBURG—Police arrested one 20-year-old woman Friday and are searching for another who they say robbed and fatally shot a San Francisco man at the Pittsburg marina earlier this month.

Kiarra Price, of Pittsburg, was arrested as she was leaving her home on Kingsberry Drive at 11 a.m., Pittsburg police Lt. Brian Addington said. He said her accomplice was Teareney Brown, who lives in Richmond.

Addington did not say which of the two women fired the gun that killed 22-year-old Benjamin Merrill about 3 a.m. on Nov. 3. Merrill was in a car with the two women at the time of the shooting, Addington said.

“We are still investigating the circumstances of how these two women came to know the victim,” Addington said. “The motive appears to be robbery.”

Neither woman has a criminal conviction, but Price had a warrant out for her arrest in an unrelated drug case.

Merrill, a Seattle-area native who was working as a waiter at the Buena Vista Cafe near Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, was found dead at Marina Walk Park. He had no wallet or ID on him and was listed as a “John Doe” for two days until he was identified through a fluke when an uncle sitting in a San Mateo courtroom noticed an officer sitting nearby holding a sketch of the victim.

According to family and friends, Merrill headed out the evening of Nov. 2 for a date and was last seen alone about 8 p.m. at the Holding Company Bar and Grill at the Embarcadero Center

One person reported hearing shots and a car speeding away at the time of the crime.

Addington said police have found the car in which Merrill and the two suspects sat, as well as an iPhone that was stolen from the victim. He did not say how police connected Price and Brown to the homicide.

Here is an older story, from November 7 Kitsap Sun, before the arrests, which includes a photo of Merrill and tells more about him, including the remarkable coincidence that led to his body being identified.

Former North Mason Man Found Shot, Killed Outside San Francisco
November 7, 2009 at 7:09 p.m.

BELFAIR—San Francisco Bay-area news outlets are reporting the death of 22-year-old Belfair native Benjamin Merrill.

The 2006 graduate of North Mason High School was found shot to death in the wee hours of Tuesday in Pittsburg, Calif., northeast of San Francisco.

He was found at a park, dead from at least one gunshot wound, according to the Contra Costa Times and the San Francisco Chronicle.

The former North Mason varsity basketball forward lived in San Francisco and worked as a waiter.

No one knows yet why he was so far from his home so late at night, said his aunt, Melinda Halvorsen of Bremerton.

“One of the biggest mysteries, of course, for everybody is how in the heck and why was Ben in Pittsburg,” she said.

He was not known to have any ties there.

A spokesman for the Pittsburg Police Department had no comment Saturday on the ongoing investigation, but the Times quoted a Pittsburg police officer saying that robbery may have been a motive.

Merrill had no identification on him when he was found. For two days, he was known as John Doe until a spectacular coincidence occurred.

His father’s cousin, Frank Moulton Merrill, was sitting in on a trial in a San Mateo courtroom Wednesday when he happened to see a police officer looking at a sketch of a young man on his iPod, Halvorsen said. The sketch looked vaguely familiar to Moulton Merrill.

Later, when he found out his young relative was missing, he put two and two together and was able to help identify him.

Merrill’s father, Peter Merrill of Belfair, is in San Francisco, and his mother, Pamela Merrill of Belfair, leaves today. Merrill was the oldest of three brothers.

Pamela Merrill said her son loved San Francisco and his friends there.

“He loved to explore and enjoyed living with his San Francisco roommates who were like family to him,” she said.

“We loved Ben so much; he was our pride and joy. We will miss him so much. Words cannot express what he meant to us,” she added.

Meanwhile, others began learning of his death.

North Mason basketball coach Larry Skogstad remembered him as a good teammate who will be deeply missed.

“First of all, he was just a real gentleman, just always had a smile on his face,” Skogstad said.

Halvorsen said the family is devastated.

“Oh my gosh, you know, it’s your worst nightmare,” she said.

“It just seems like he had to be lured out of the city for some reason” she said.

Halvorsen said Merrill initially moved to California to attend college, but currently was working at the Buena Vista CafĂ© at Fisherman’s Wharf.

“It’s just inexplicable,” she said.

[end of article]

LA writes:

But it’s not inexplicable, is it? Benjamin was out at 1:30 a.m. in a big city, was approached by two strange black women and hooked up with them, maybe in the hope of sex, maybe for drugs, maybe just because he had nothing else to do and wanted someone to hang out with. In any case he had no internal warning signal against befriending strange black people in the middle of the night in a big city. So he got in their car with them, and they joined up with a third black woman, and then they robbed and murdered him.

It’s not exactly a new phenomenon. All big cities have dangerous underworlds that rational people know about and avoid. But for Merrill’s aunt Melinda Halvorsen her nephew’s murder is inexplicable. Nothing like it has ever happened before. Let’s assume that Melinda Halvorsen is 50 years old. Apparently she has lived 50 years and has never read in a newspaper about a robbery and murder in a big city.

At VFR we have often spoken of how liberals have concocted this imaginary, alternative unvierse in which up is down, and down is up. This is how John Stewart, the Grand Poohbah of the young, hip liberals, treated black-on-white crime earlier this year.

Rather than have an honest discussion on REAL and significant black-on-white crime and how it has poisoned race relations the past 50 years, liberal America draws itself further into its own Bizarro World by bringing those oh-so-rampant (not) cases of whites making up reports of their having been victimized by blacks. And we wonder why our Eloi are made so readily into Morlock Meat?!

As far as I am concerned, these reality-denying liberals have blood on their hands. They specificially and deliberately go out of their way to stifle any reporting of the decades-long black criminal intifada against whites. To them, the over 30,000 white murder victims and the hundreds of thousands of raped white women in post Civil Rights America is nothing but a figment of our imaginations.

LA replies:

“As far as I am concerned, these reality-denying liberals have blood on their hands.”

I couldn’t agree more.

Dan R. writes:

“One of the biggest mysteries, of course, for everybody is how in the heck and why was Ben in Pittsburg,” she [the aunt] said.

From Wikipedia:

The racial makeup of the city was 36.53% White, 25.89% Black or African American, 0.75% Native American, 12.65% Asian, 0.86% Pacific Islander, 16.11% from other races, and 7.22% from two or more races. 32.21% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
