Facts are stubbon, but so are people

The waffling of some conservatives on what happened at Henry Gates’s house continues, along with defenses of the waffling. A constant theme in the comments of all liberals and somo conservatives is the way they keep sticking the incident into some narrative they have in their own head, instead of looking at the facts. I guess we’re all postmodernists now

Update: But decidedly non-postmodern is Jonathan L.’s philosophical explanation of why society has the right to demand deference to police officers.
