Memes versus truth

Can beings whose so-called minds are controlled by “parasitic memeplexes” have an independent consciousness and a love of truth? And do people who declare that our minds are controlled by parasitic memeplexes have the right to praise other people for their intellectual honesty and love of truth? That is the topic of this thread.
