Hechtman defends de Rijke and Pearl

Ken Hechtman, who went to Afganistan in 2001 as a freelance journalist to write about the Taliban and was arrested and tried as a spy, thinks I’m being too hard on Joanie de Rijke and Daniel Pearl when I say they were recklessly risking their lives for the sake of illegitimate interviews. I reply.
