Banana President plus Banana Supreme Court equals Banana Republic

Byron York writing in the Washington Examiner tells how Sonia the Hispanic racialist Sotomayor was initially nominated to the U.S. district court in 1991 by President Bush the elder: it was patronage. There was a deal whereby Sen. Daniel “Tipsy” Moynihan would get to select every fourth nomination to the federal bench in New York, and he, doubtless for internal political (not judicial) reasons, chose So-so-minor.
