The wimpiest police in the Western world are still not wimpy enough

British police officers have been issued a 140 page diversity handbook cautioning them against offensive speech and offensive assumptions. Thus, according to the Mail:

The book also points out that cheery traditional greetings such as ‘hen’, ‘pet’, ‘love’ and ‘my dear’ should never be addressed to a woman…

And officers are reminded that a woman who is provocatively dressed and ‘paying attention to passing vehicles’ may not necessarily be a prostitute.

To which Rick Darby replies:

Of course not. She might be a 12-year-old schoolgirl waiting for her mother to pick her up in the car.

Darby has also gotten an advance copy of a supplement to the diversity guide, which he shares with us.
