Oliver North: we need to erect barriers against terrorists. Commenter: we need to separate Islam from the West

Oliver North writing at Human Events says that Union Station in Washington, D.C., unlike other major buildings in the city, has been left vulnerable to a truck bomb attack, and he calls for immediate measures to protect the building. Commenter Ralph Diamond has this reply:

Our transportation hubs are vulnerable to terror attacks?

Point defense is a placebo at best. Not the least because the points we need to defend are limited only by the feral imagination of our evil foe. We must deal with the pathogen of the terror that engulfs us. The pathogen of the terror that engulfs us is Islam. And since good Muslims have been killing unbelievers, for the greater glory of the god of their prophet Mohammad, for 14 centuries, we would be fools to hope that good Muslims will renounce their prurient, Freedom destroying creed in the next 14 decades. Seven years after 9/11 why do we permit Muslims entry into our country? We must have separation. We must have separation now. Separation tomorrow will be too late.

For those of you who believe I am being to mean and nasty to the adherents to this oh so “peaceful religion” consider this. There is no hope of Islam reforming from within unless the seething masses of Muslims are forced to pay a price for adhering to their prurient, freedom destroying creed. Will it require leaders with the compassion of a Truman to promote such a beneficial reformation within the realm of Islam? Denying Muslims access to our lands seems a reasonable option to try first. An option that vastly improves our security at home. An option that does so much more cost effectively than security posts at enumerable transportation nudes. Assuming it is not already to late to try imposing separation on our evil foe.

Waging war on a tactic will bring us nothing but tears.
