DAVID FRUM PRESIDENTIAL CONCLAVE UPDATE
As of 8:20 p.m. January 31, Frum continues his public pro and con meditations at the David Frum Diary on whether to support Romney or McCain. He likes things about both men, he dislikes things about both men. Most curiously, he says he dislikes McCain’s dislike of conservatives, even as he says he agrees with McCain that the Republican party must re-invent itself, i.e., become more liberal, i.e., drop its opposition to homosexual marriage and accept amnesty for illegal aliens. This would seem to tilt the decision toward McCain, but Frum is cagey and is giving nothing away.
