Phillips, excoriator of Muslims (for once, no irony intended)

I have only just now read Melanie Phillips’s unsparing evisceration of the supposed peace letter that was sent by 138 Muslim scholars to the Pope and other Western religious leaders in October. It is one of the strongest things I’ve ever seen by Phillips. She sees right to the heart of the beguiling Islamic rhetoric—that same Koran-based rhetoric that Muslims always use to non-Muslims, in which they pretend to desire peace, but are really declaring war and demanding surrender.

The curiosity remains, however, that Phillips could so penetratingly grasp the fraud of the Muslim peace letter in October, then turn around and fall for the obvious phony “moderate Muslim” Ed Husain in November, as discussed here.
