The anti-Amazons

This story is beyond my powers of analysis (translation: it blows my mind), so I’ll just report it without comment. The Australian Royal Navy has been paying for breast enlargements for an unspecified number of female sailors, at $10,000 per surgery. The reason is to enhance their self-esteem.

Here are two good comments on this from Lucianne.com:

The guy who had a broken ankle couldn’t get surgery because he smokes, but the taxes are paying for breast enlargement. I would say this is just ridiculous but here in the good old USA medicaid pays for Viagra for men on welfare, sex changes for people in prison, plastic surgery for people who have “issues” with how they look. It’s ridiculous there, and it is ridiculous here.

This is like the sex-change operations on, men who think they were womewn trapped in men’s bodies.

Their bodies are OK; it’s their minds which are abnormal. Why surgically restructure a normal body to match an abnormal mind?

This has to stop.
