Giving Limbaugh credit

I want to say that I think I was not entirely fair to Rush Limbaugh when I condemned him for his repeated statements that the immigration bill would be “passed by the Senate and signed by the president,” and that the bill would “sail through the Senate.” While he deserved to be criticized in the strongest terms for such defeatism, it is also the case that apart from those defeatist statements he opposed the bill and his opposition surely played a part in getting his many listeners to call Congress and helping stop the bill.
