The latest Jewish exodus to Florida

According to the Miami Herald, between 2,000 and 4,000 French Jews have emigrated to south Florida in the last few years to escape the Jew-hating Muslims of France. Of course, those Jew-hating Muslims were permitted into France and the rest of Europe as part of postwar Europe’s effort to show that it was not “intolerant” like the Jew-hating Nazis. In line with the liberal rewriting of traditional morality, the evil of Nazism was defined as “intolerance” instead of as evil, i.e., as a violation of liberalism rather than as a violation of the objective moral order, and “tolerance,” which in practice means the denial of moral distinctions, was duly designated as the opposite and the cure of Nazism. So, in the name of rejecting Jew-hating Nazism, France let in a vast population of Jew-hating Muslims, who are now forcing the descendants of the Jews who survived the Nazis to flee their homes for America. Isn’t liberalism great?

What is one to make of this, and what does it portend – for France and the United States? Without wishing to appear unsympathetic, for I am very sympathetic about what these Frenchmen must feel about what is happening to France and I understand why they are leaving, I think Americans need to ask ourselves if this is an unmixed blessing for us.

Extrapolating from what I know of Jewish voting patterns and political activity throughout the West, I hazard a guess that this latest wave of “refugees” to our shores was for the most part enthusiastically voting for, supporting and to the extent they could influencing Socialist and other Leftist politicians in favor of the Leftist mass-immigration/non-discrimination policies that have inflicted on France the very horrors they now flee!

Once established in the United States, assuming for the moment that they will be, what will likely be their effect on American politics and policy? Already inclined in the main to Leftism and coming from a society totally submerged in socialist assumptions and policies, what policies are they likely to favor for America; who will be the beneficiaries of their activism? Will they enthusiastically embrace the Proposition-Nation-of-Immigrants fiction and agitate to keep our borders open to all comers, as with most of their co-religionists already here? Or will they have learned from bitter experience in France that a Western nation laid open to incessant third-world (especially Moslem) immigration is no haven for the Jews? I think it is most likely that liberalism will win, again. My guess is that if these new arrivals become citizens and have money to spend on American politics, they will be very devoted to the cult of immigrationism, if only because it benefited them, although they might want an unprincipled exception to control (not end; that would be racist) Moslem immigration.

I would have greater respect for these Jewish Frenchmen if they were either (i) being real Frenchmen and resisting in France the Moslem invasion of their country or, (ii) if they really can’t stand France anymore, being real Jews by making aliyah to Israel and contributing their talents and energies to their Jewish nation. As it is, it sounds as though most of those the Miami Herald interviewed have just found a better place to do business. I was interested, too, to note that none of those interviewed who ask us for refugee status has actually been attacked.

Lastly, I cannot fathom why French Jews think they will ultimately be safe in South Florida, of all places. As Tom Tancredo has truly said, the United States has long since abandoned the idea of keeping South Florida American. It is rapidly becoming a devil’s brew of Cuba, Haiti, Mexico and all the rest of Latin America, along with a strong slug of the Moslem Middle East – with all the social and political pathologies (yes, including anti-Semitism thanks to LatAms as well as Moslems) that inexorably follow. You have some interesting posts and Howard Sutherland is a good commentator.

The homosexual “fairy tales” for four year olds are an unspeakable evil. Children of this age are not “service users” and this is just being used as a pretext to brainwash them and destroy traditional morality. What a tragedy. I hope parents protest vociferously at the schools but I wouldn’t count on it as many are so passive.

I can’t believe that so many Jews are being harassed in France. The Moslems are like the blacks in South Africa, contained within ghettoes. There are a few white people living there and true there have been attacks on Jews. But the Jews in the Moslem ghettoes are Sephardic and Arabic speaking and very used to dealing with Arabs. The ones, who are leaving, according to this article, are the ones who have businesses and as Howard Sutherland says see better opportunities elsewhere. These émigrés are not hailing from the Moslem banlieus and in all likelihood have little contact with Moslems. In France it is easier to avoid them than in Britain where they are spreading like a plague and have infiltrated almost everything. I think they flee from the rampant bureaucracy of the EU which is slowly strangling business. (The French treat the Moslems like dirt. They are openly hostile to them, don’t patronise their businesses, don’t give them jobs, don’t socialise with them. That’s why so many of the French Moslems come to Britain, unfortunately.)

The 1965 Act was a deliberate attempt to destroy Anglo Saxon Protestant values and undermine the majority culture. The architects of the Act could not have misunderstood its consequences. After the Reformation, the Protestant countries experienced massive economic growth and expansion. The Roman Catholic countries, just like the Moslem ones were left behind mired in poverty and backwardness. The EU and the 1965 Act were the means whereby the Roman Catholic populations and other backwards peoples could receive a wealth transfer from Protestants. The RC community in the USA (Irish and Hispanics) is much poorer than the Protestant and Jewish communities who are now financing them. Likewise in the EU, the rich Protestant nations are subsidising the poorer RC and Orthodox ones.

I think Irish Americans’ socioeconomic status is now comparable to that of other ethnic groups.

Karen writes:

You said the Irish Americans had reached the same economic level as other groups.

There are thousands of illegal Irish immigrants in the USA and they even have a lobby group to support their legitimisation. There are not thousands of British, German, French or Dutch immigrants behaving like a Third World people by entering the US and then remaining illegally and lobbying to get their criminal behaviour rewarded. Didn’t they recently hold a large demonstration in New York or Washington in the manner of the Mexicans? This is not the behaviour of a civilised European people who respect the laws of their host nation.

Irish Americans gave money freely and in abundance to support the IRA in its murderous armed conflict against the British Government resulting in the murder and maiming of thousands of innocent British people. What is the difference between them and the Moslems? They sought to achieve a result that could have been achieved by diplomacy and peaceful means, through violence and intimidation. Again, not the behaviour of a civilised European people.

How many people of Irish origin have won Nobel prizes (except for Literature and Peace) or made major discoveries in the fields of mathematics, economics or science? Have any Irish written major philosophical works? Have any Irish invented anything of any significance? Have any Irish produced major works of art or classical music? The answer to these questions is zero.

Like the Mexicans, there are some Irish who have had commercial, professional or literary success but as a people, they lack the civilisation or brilliance of other Europeans and they have been and still are a subversive political force.

LA replies:

What about the monastery and university established by St. Kevin in the Wicklow mountains? What about the Gallerus Oratory on the Dingle peninsula, a perfect stone structure held together by no cement that takes you directly into a consciousness of God? What about the Cormac McCarthy Chapel on Cashel Rock, the most impressive and spiritual Romanesque church I’ve ever seen? Those are all from the early Middle Ages. Then in the 12th century the Anglo-Normans and later the English arrived, and subjected Ireland to almost a thousand years of oppression, in part because, while Britain had the great fortune to be a large island near Europe and thus both a part of Europe and free of Europe, Ireland had the misfortune of being a small island near Britain, and therefore threatening to Britain’s freedom if in league with Europe, and so the English could not (or felt they could not) leave her alone. Karen compares Ireland’s achievements negatively with those of other European countries. But there is no remote parallel in Europe to Ireland’s experience of centuries of oppression, culminating in the 17th and 18th century when the entire Catholic Irish people were dispossessed of their lands and became a rightless people in their own country, followed by the potato famine of the 19th century. Of course there is a historic backwardness in Ireland, what I think of as an anti-linearity in their mindset, and even the Irish acknowledge that their modern civilization built in the 18th and 19th centuries was largely the creation of the Anglo-Irish. I think the main reason for Karen’s gripe with the Irish, apart from her anti-Catholicism which she allows to carry her too far, is that far too many of them were allowed to immigrate into Britain in recent decades along with other immigrant groups and so perhaps have added to the loss of England’s own culture. However, it seems to me that the main problem presented by Ireland today is not that the Irish are backward but that they have given up their distinct heritage and their religion and become too much a part of the EU project.
