Steyn worship

Some people think I exaggerate when I speak of Mark Steyn worship. But look at this, which a reader sent. Apparently Steyn really has hit the winning note. He makes people feel that he is giving them the politically forbidden truth about the spread of Islam into the West, when, in reality, because he declines to mention a single thing that we could actually do to defend ourselves from it (in fact his ideas add up to practical surrender to it), he never steps into the realm of the politically forbidden at all. He gives his readers the thrill of the forbidden, without its actual risks. Nice work, if you can get it.
