Peters reaches the exit, and has one foot out the door

Ralph Peters says Iraq and the rest of the Muslim world is a hell hole, we gave them a chance to rescue themselves, they’ve rejected it, and that’s that. Either the Iraqis completely reverse course in the next few months, or we’re outa there. But where does this abandonment of the policy he has determinedly supported for the last three years leave Peters? Given that he is a crusading universalist liberal who hates with a consuming passion everything that is non-democratic, non-liberal, and non-tolerant, if he gives up on Muslim democratization, his next step is likely to be advocacy of Muslim genocide. He won’t be the first.
