The First Illegal-Alien President

James R. writes:

“We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We’re a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

“Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey … and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.” - George W. Bush, Miami, August 2000

Twice this past week as I waited at a red light a vehicle with windows down and blasting Mexican music from a high-powered stereo has pulled up next to me, the second vehicle with a Mexican flag dangling from the rearview mirror. Not only do we now have Mexican music in my formerly Mexican-free hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado, we have it “in your face” from Mexicans emboldened by the prospect of amnesty. Bush is so far detached from reality that he is as alien as the illegals he welcomes.

Howard Sutherland adds:

Minds think alike. I sent a liberal friend a message this morning saying, inter alia, “If Clinton was our first black president, then Baby Bush is our first Mexican president.”
