Conference in Europe on the Islam threat

Yesterday Andy Bostom, just back in the U.S. from a weekend conference in the Hague on the Islam problem, called me from the airport and told me of his feeling that Europe is finished, because the power of Islam is too advanced and well established to be stopped, and because there is no will in the Europeans to do anything about it. He also said that Daniel Pipes, at the conference, admitted that the moderate Muslims he has hoped for to change Islam are such a tiny number that they cannot make any difference. Dr. Bostom shared the same information with Jerry Gordon, who has written it up at the website Israpundit.

My view remains: It is not over. To the contrary, given the Europeans’ profound state of liberal Eloihood, we must understand that the Islamization of Europe—and the Europeans’ lack of response to it thus far—was inevitable. But this doesn’t mean that they must remain forever in the Eloi condition. As the Islam problem gets worse, more and more Europeans will awake, and change, and rise up against it. The hell of it is that the problem must get much worse before this happens, if it ever happens at all.
