Norway’s apology

Here is the official apology by the Norwegian foreign minister in late January for the publication of the Muhammad cartoons in a Norwegian newspaper. This is the opposite of what the prime minister of Denmark did for months, which was to say that it’s not the place of the Danish government to punish a newspaper for something it has published or to apologize for it. As Robert Spencer at DhimmiWatch writes, “If criticism of Islam is forbidden, then the rest of Sharia will ultimately follow.”
