Was Sailer being unfair to Jews about Christmas?

Steve Sailer wrote an article for vdare.com about how American Jews, along with other minorities, have been “de-assimilating,” and, as a part of that process, Jews and Jewish organizationns have been at the forefront of the attack on Christmas. A reader complains that Sailer is over-generalizing and being prejudicial against Jews, and Sailer replies. Both Sailer’s original article, and his reply to the reader, seem perfectly fine and reasonable to me. I don’t detect any bad vibes here, and I don’t see what Sailer said for anyone to get reasonably upset about.
