Humor and seriousness

In response to my post, “The positive news from Iraq that has been suppressed,” a reader writes:

And to think VFR is a humor-free zone!

The reader is referring to John Derbyshire’s comments about VFR and me in an interview, which I subsequently discussed here and here.
