Jewish organizations are determined to foment anti-Semitism—and they are really getting into it

It’s not just the very unfoxy Abraham Foxman who’s doing it. Foxman’s Anti-Defamation League has joined with the Union of Reform Rabbis, headed by Rabbi Eric Yoffie, to advance the ADL’s newly announced agenda of attacking Christians for seeking to “Christianize” America. Foxman’s shocking rhetoric in a speech to the ADL last month has already been widely disseminated, and discussed here. But Rabbi Yoffie’s even more charming rhetoric trumps Foxman’s. The Washington Times quotes him:

We understand those who believe that the Bible opposes gay marriage, even though we read that text in a very different way. We cannot forget that when Hitler came to power in 1933, one of the first things that he did was ban gay organizations.

Got that? All along, it has felt uncomfortably like anti-Semitic excess to say that leading Jews are going around comparing conservative American Christians to Nazis. Unfortunately, leading Jews are going around comparing conservative American Christians to Nazis.

On the principle of cui bono, to whom the good, I would say that Foxman and Yoffie are in the pay of David Duke, except that Duke doesn’t have the money to pay them off. So, maybe they’re in the pay of the Saudis?
