Another convert to the anti-Miers camp

Looks like Miers has really had it now. The Animal House conservative says he now opposes her nomination, because of her support for numerical set-asides and quotas for minorities in the legal profession when she was head of the Texas Bar Association, though it is not her support for racial quotas that has convinced him (as it did Stanley Kurtz), it is that her support for quotas shows her to be “a go-along-with-the-crowd establishmentarian.” It’s interesting to see, in the case of each individual conservative or “conservative,” what is the thing that finally turns him or her against Miers.
