The long way down

In reply to my thoughts about those who leaped to their death from a thousand feet up in the air on 9/11, Howard Sutherland writes:

I hope you are right. I watched them from a 17th story window a block away. Most were bicycling all the long way down. They are the image I’ll never lose—the word Islam always makes me think of them.
