Why weren’t blacks seeking better hurricane protection, hmm?

Concerning the bitter, hate-filled charge by blacks (that is, by virtually all black “leaders,” plus 66 percent of all blacks according to polls) that white America left blacks stranded in the New Orleans disaster because of racial indifference, a correspondent writes:

I also have to ask the complainers this,

“When did you ever demand the levees or floodgates that would have saved you? We’ve heard you whine and complain about everything from the CIA selling crack in the ghetto on down, but when did you ever ask for this? And how do you expect to be given something that expensive if you didn’t even ask? The political leaders you elected went snuffling after every kind of political pork instead of asking for this.”
